Review'd: Falling Under by Gwen Hayes

Book Review:
Title: Falling Under
Author: Gwen Hayes
Published: March 1, 2011
Rating: 5 stars

Theia Alderson has always led a sheltered life in the small California town of Serendipity Falls. But when a devastatingly handsome boy appears in the halls of her school, Theia knows she's seen Haden before- not around town, but in her dreams.

As the Haden of both the night and the day beckons her closer one moment and pushes her away the next, the only thing Theia knows for sure is that the incredible pull she feels towards him is stronger than her fear.

And when she discovers what Haden truly is, Theia's not sure if she wants to resist him, even if the cost is her soul.

DeLibrarie (Delilah) Review:  Finally.  I have been waiting for a long time for this book to come out and was scared that with all of the hype and expectations that I had for this book, that it would fall short.  It did not disappoint. This book was a breath of fresh air.  The recent new releases that I have read have been a hard-covered cliche for what a Paranormal Romance book is "supposed" to be. (Vampires, Love Triangles, Blah...) It was so nice to finally read something that was completely original. Hayes brings you into a world that is truly unique. With her quirky characters, amazing plot lines and interesting twists there was not a moment spent reading this book that I regretted. Not a minute where I was bored. The mystical other world, Under, that Hayes creates is both alluring and haunting, I couldn't help but want to Fall Under myself. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, and I'm patiently (lie) waiting for the sequel, Dreaming Awake, to be released in January. Falling Under ended up being a cool Gothic version of Alice in Wonderland with a sexy love story...what's not to love?
