I have borrowed this book to try and read in the spirit of Halloween and I LOVE this cover so I thought that we could take a minute and appreciate the spooky, yet beautiful cover that is Anna Dressed in Blood. If you like the show Supernatural, then you'll love this book! It's super creepy so far and I love it! Especially since I get to read it around this time of year :)

DeLibrarie Review: 
I just adore this series. I really liked Wildefire but I LOVE Ember and Echoes. I loved that you got to peak back into some of Ash's previous lives and that they were written in 2nd person. When does that happen?! umm....never! I usually hate reading battle scenes in books...truth be told I usually skim them... however, Knight is so good at making them super intense, and interesting. I just couldn't skim them... they were that entertaining. I love mythology so I love when I new God/Goddess is introduced so I can figure out who is who and how he modernizes certain Gods. I just really enjoy this series and I think that they are definitely a must read!!!

Cover Loving

It seems like every time I either log onto Goodreads or Blogger I'm bombarded with an abundance of beautiful new covers. I LOVE BOOK COVERS! I'm not even going to lie to you... I totally judge books by their covers. I wanted to take some time to show you some of my favorite recent cover reveals. :) It feels like Christmas... only mean Christmas because I can't actually read any of these yet. :( Scoff.

If you follow this blog like at all... you probably have gathered that I AM IN LOVE WITH THE SELECTION. So when I was flipping through lists on goodreads and saw this had a cover... I did a happy dance. A mental happy dance... my room is cold and I"m wearing shorts I didn't want to get out of the covers. Red is my favorite color... I SO LOVE RED, and I just want to dance around in that big poofy dress. This is my most anticipated release of 2013...easily.

This series has the most stunningly beautiful covers. I love them all. They are going to look so great next to each other on my bookshelf. :) I love how the artist uses the swirls weaving around Kate. It's so pretty.

That was fast. The first book isn't even out yet... You don't see that very often. I love the colors in this cover. Particularly the red against the beige color.It manages to be peaceful and chaotic at the same time.

Still On My Mind

Still On My Mind is a meme hosted by YA-Aholic and it's a chance to get to talk about those books that just seem to keep creeping back into your head long after you've read them.

I'm cheating a little this week. The book that I've been thinking about most this week isn't technically a YA book... it's a fantasy book, but I think it's a book that everyone should read...because it's awesome. SOOO... I'm going to talk about it anyway.

This was an amazing read. I love the different characters and their stories. I love how problems are solved and I love how fun it was to read. This was just such a treat!

This is one that I plan to read to my kids...when I have them...

While surfing through youtube I happened upon this little gem. It's Libba Bray talking about her new book: The Diviners. I just finished and reviewed this one last week. I just love LIbba Bray...as I'm sure you'll see why. :)

DeLibrarie Review: 
Wow. Just wow. I don't really know what I was expecting with this book. Ok I do know what I was expecting. I was expecting some paranormal romance where this kid is stuck in a different body everyday and falls in love with a girl and then they try to solve the mystery of getting him out of this daily torture and into his rightful body. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. This book was sooooo much more! David Levithan created such a deep, wise, honest character. A sees everything so clearly, not jaded by judgment. It is such a strong statement on the way that other people are viewed and the way that love works. I'm sure this book will stick with me for a while... it was just so powerful.

Waiting on Wednesday

It takes me a while to pick out which book I want to talk about in WOW posts. Mostly because there are just so many to choose from... but also because I can never remember which ones I've already discussed. I'm pretty sure I haven't done this one yet... but I love this series so it's entirely possible that I have. This week I'm waiting for.

  Crimson Frost by Jennifer Estep

I just adore this series. It's so light and easy. I really like the story... mythical warriors all going to the same school, a war against Gods and Goddesses... I just overall think this a great idea and it was really well written. This one comes out Christmas Eve and I'm psyched! Can't wait to see what happens next in Gwen's story.

If you haven't picked this series up and you are looking for something light and fun to start. You really should read this series. Plus, you don't have to wait an entire year to get the next ones. She puts out one about every 6 months. As a reader who reads a lot of series... I totally appreciate that.
